The French Institute for Public Health Surveillance (InvS) is a government agency under the authority of the Ministry in charge of Health and is tasked with monitoring the population's health status on an ongoing basis. Its missions include surveillance, vigilance and alerts in all areas of public health.

InVS may not be held liable for information contained on websites referred to on the invs.sante.fr website. The French Institute for Public Health Surveillance may not be held liable for any direct or indirect damage, regardless of its nature, resulting from the use of this website’s information, even the partial use of such information.
InVS’s website accepts no form of advertising and does not receiving advertising funds.

Medical information 

The website of the French Institute for Public Health Surveillance includes no personal medical data.
The purpose of the information found on the www.invs.sante.fr website is to improve and not to supersede the relationship that exists between patients (or visitors of the website) and their physicians.
The French Institute for Public Health Surveillance does not answer individual requests for medical opinions.

Processing of personal data / Data Protection Act and Cnil reporting

Pursuant to the Data Protection Act of 6 January 1978 on computers, computer files and freedom, the website of the French Institute for Public Health Surveillance was reported to the French National Commission on Computer Technology and Freedom (Cnil), under file number 1035722.

Information collected upon reception of an e-mail message, registration to a seminar or registration to a newsletter sent by e-mail is only used to process subscriptions and is never sent to any third party.

The Data Protection Act of 6 January 1978 entitles you to access, object to, rectify or delete any personal information. You may exercise this right by writing to the webmaster of InVS’s website (communication@invs.sante.fr) or by regular mail to the following address: Institut de veille sanitaire - Service communication - 12 rue du Val d’Osne - 94441 Saint-Maurice cedex.

InVS’s website does not use cookies. The IP addresses of machines visiting InVS’s website are recorded for statistical purposes only and are not kept.

Use of data and copyright

Data and information featured on the www.invs.sante.fr website is made available to the public by the French Institute for Public Health Surveillance.

This information is protected by the Berne Convention for the Protection of Literary and Artistic Works, by other international conventions and by national legislation on copyright and related rights.

Data and information featured on the website may be reviewed, reproduced or translated for research purposes or personal studies, but may not be sold or used for commercial purposes.

Any use of data or information from the website of the French Institute for Public Health Surveillance (InVS) must identify the InVS as the source of the information and, where applicable, must also identify any partners associated with this information.

Creating links
